Teen Mania Friends and Family:

We are sad to announce that five individuals on board a flight to Acquire The Fire in Council Bluffs, Iowa were involved in a plane crash around 4:30 yesterday afternoon. The plane went down in rural southeastern Kansas, and three of the five on board died at the scene. Please be in prayer for the families of Luke Sheets, Garrett Coble, and Stephen Luth, who went to be with the Lord yesterday.

Hannah Luce and Austin Anderson were also onboard the plane when it crashed and were able to walk to a nearby roadway and get help. However, both Hannah and Austin suffered severe injuries and were life-flighted to hospitals in Kansas City and Wichita, respectively. Hannah is listed in serious but stable condition, suffering primarily from burns on 28 percent of her body. Sadly, Austin succumbed to his injuries at 5:30 this morning and went to be with the Lord.

The entire Teen Mania family is mourning the loss of four young lives who were full of so much promise and love for God. All were friends of Teen Mania, and two of them, Austin and Stephen, were newly hired to Teen Mania’s staff to join our marketing team. Please pray that God surrounds the families of Austin, Stephen, Luke and Garrett with His love and peace in this extremely difficult time.

Please also hold up Hannah and the Luce family in your prayers as she continues to recover from her injuries. Ask that God give Hannah strength and healing, and that He also surround her parents, brother and sister with His peace and love.

Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement

  • Kirk Cameron has answered his critics.

The former "Growing Pains" actor has weathered a firestorm of controversy since his appearance on Piers Morgan's CNN talk show last Friday when he shared his anti-gay views, saying that homosexuality is "unnatural" and "ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization." The comments immediately drew heated responses from many including GLAAD, Cameron's former co-stars and thousands of social media users.

However, in an email statement released exclusively to ABC News on Tuesday, Cameron says that some of those reactions have included "hate speech" and slander. He defended his right to share his views and says that contrary to what people may think, loving all people is a focus of his life.

"I spoke as honestly as I could, but some people believe my responses were not loving toward those in the gay community. That is not true. I can assuredly say that it's my life's mission to love all people. I should be able to express moral views on social issues, especially those that have been the underpinning of Western civilization for 2,000 years -- without being slandered, accused of hate speech, and told from those who preach 'tolerance' that I need to either bend my beliefs to their moral standards or be silent when I'm in the public square."

He added, "I believe we need to learn how to debate these things with greater love and respect," and added, "I've been encouraged by the support of many friends (including gay friends, incidentally)."

RELATED: Former 'Growing Pains' actor Kirk Cameron under fire for anti-gay r...

GLAAD, which had already organized a petition to urge Cameron to "grow up," fired back again on Tuesday in response to the actor's statement. Herndon Graddick, GLAAD's Senior Director of Programs and Communications, said, "Cameron used his platform to attack gay Americans and is now attempting to play victim in an effort to sell his upcoming movie. That Cameron would risk the health and safety of young people in order to do so speaks for itself. So many Americans, popular celebrities and Christian leaders have stood up and said his views are out of touch. The fundamental dignity of gay people should no longer be a debate in this country."

Among those who have stood up and sounded off on Cameron's views were his "Growing Pains" family, including Alan Thicke and Tracey Gold, who both responded with comments on Twitter in favor of equal rights and the LGBT community. "I'm getting him some new books. The Old Testament simply can't be expected to explain everything," Thicke tweeted. Gold posted, "I am a strong supporter of the #LGBT Community, and I believe in equal rights for all. #NOH8 #LOVE"

  • Fellow sitcom star Roseanna Barr also used Twitter to voice her opinion, posting, "Kirk or kurt or whatever Cameron is an accomplice to murder with his hate speech."

Other actors who spoke out about Cameron's comments included Debra Messing, Neil Patrick Harris, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Josh Charles and Craig Ferguson.

RELATED: Stars Who Came Out of the Closet

While some dubbed them controversial, Cameron's comments came as no surprise to others who have followed his post-"Growing Pains" career. He has segued from the small screen to the church, where he has been an active supporter of the Christian faith. He has starred in the faith-based films "Fireproof" and "Left Behind" and written the book "Still Growing." He is also the co-founder of The Way of the Master, a ministry that's mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. His appearance on Morgan's show was to tout the documentary "Monumental" which tracks the true intent of the founding fathers of the U.S., which Cameron has said was to create a religious nation.

Singing News News

Connie Lundstrom, Wife Of Lowell Lundstrom, Passed Away

- Lundstroms
Tuesday, January 03, 2012

Connie Lundstrom, Christian singer, author, conference host and speaker, wife of Pastor/Evangelist, Lowell Lundstrom, went to be with the Lord, December 13, 2011.

She and Lowell attended four years of Bible college together at what is now Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. Both were good students; Connie was elected valedictorian and Lowell salutatorian of their class.

The couple began their evangelistic music ministry, traveling in a little Nash Rambler station-wagon to churches in the Midwest. Since then, the ministry has grown tremendously. Connie, Lowell and eight team members traveled in two buses over 300 nights of the year throughout the United States and Canada holding city-wide interdenominational outreaches, seminars and rallies for over two decades.

In the fall of 1996, Lowell and Connie launched Celebration Church in the Minneapolis suburb of Burnsville, Minnesota. They continue their soulwinning outreaches and marriage seminars across the United States and Canada as well as being pastors at Celebration Church.

Connie is the mother of four children, Londa, Lisa, Lowell Jr. and Lance and grandmother of five, Chase, Conor, Reagan, Grace and Zeke. All of the children traveled with the Lundstrom Ministry team, participating in crusades and rallies while they were growing up. Connie has written about the many challenges and blessings of this itinerant lifestyle in her book, "My Home The Highway."

Her most recent outreach project, one she was very enthused about starting, was the Good News Radio Show, a 15 minute weekly Internet podcast which is broadcast from LundstromRadio.com. Lowell and Connie began producing these shows in April of 2011.

Richard Roberts, a former president of Oral Roberts University, was released early Tuesday morning from the Tulsa County Jail after being picked up on a DUI complaint.

According to an arrest and booking report, Roberts, 63, was driving along the Creek Turnpike when an OHP trooper clocked his Mercedes going 93mph in a 65mph zone.  The trooper pulled Roberts over along US 169 near 71st street around midnight.

A report from the Tulsa Co. Jail indicates the trooper smelled a strong odor of alcohol and administered a horizontal gaze sobriety test but Roberts was unable to follow directions, according to the trooper.  The report says Roberts was taken to the Jenks Police Department where he submitted to a breathalyzer test and blew .11, which is over the legal limit of .08.

Roberts was arrested just after midnight Tuesday and taken to Jenks police department, then he was transferred to the Tulsa County Jail and booked by 2:45am on DUI and speeding complaints.  He was released from jail on $1,100 bond just after 5:45 Tuesday morning.  A black Range Rover picked him up from jail.

Roberts' father, ORU founder Oral Roberts, would have been 94 years old Tuesday.  Oral Roberts died in 2009.

ORU released the following statement:

"Our prayers go out to Richard and Lindsay Roberts and their entire family as they face this life challenge. May God's grace help them as they work towards healing."

A coven of witches has banded together to cast a spell, hoping to shut down Tim Tebow's string of miracle wins for the Denver Broncos.

Lorelei and Lori Bruno, two witches from Massachusetts, held a seance at noon on Friday the 13th at Haven Crow Corner in Salem, Mass. Their goal: to make sure the New England Patriots beat Tebow and his Broncos.

“I’m going to raise the energy of the universe and send out all the good mojo,” Lorelei told the Boston Herald. “Lori will call in the angels.”

The witches claim they aren’t hexing Tebow, but would set up an altar with a puppet of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. A local sorceress reportedly hand sewed the puppet, which will sit on the altar next to mojo bags filled with herbs and stones for all Patriot players.

“Tom Brady will see what he needs to see, be where he needs to be and will take the Patriots to another victory,” Lorelei told the Herald.

Christians aren’t bowing to this witchcraft, though. Kim Daniels, founder of Spoken Word Ministries, an inner-city, multiracial church, and a city councilwoman in Jacksonville, Fla., is organizing intercessors to pray at 5 p.m. and midnight, something witches call the “witching hour” and that Daniels calls “the Holy Ghost hour.”

“The government of God is manifesting and exposing darkness. We are going to have many Mt. Carmels where we will meet the devil, and he will not get the glory,” Daniels says.

“Just like we believe in Jesus, there are people who believe in the devil. This is a wake-up call for the church. Evil exits and wherever you have light it will clash with darkness. In the football arena it's Tebow time. But in the spirit realm it's Jesus time. Tebow belongs to Jesus.”

TAMPA --
Randy White, the former pastor of Without Walls International Church, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence Saturday night.

White, 53, who cultivated a bad-boy image while he and ex-wife Paula White built Without Walls into a multimillion-dollar ministry, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ashley Drive exit ramp of southbound Interstate 275, according to Hillsborough County Jail records.

Released after posting $500 bail Sunday morning, White could not be reached for comment.

White's blood-alcohol level registered at 0.09, according to jail records. In Florida, a person is presumed intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08.

At its peak, people flocked to Without Walls' 4,000-seat sanctuary on North Grady Avenue, making the church one of the fastest-growing Christian ministries in the country and allowing the Whites to enjoy a lavish lifestyle, expensive cars and homes.

But criticism of the Whites' "prosperity gospel" mounted, and a congressional inquiry spent three years reviewing the spending habits of Without Walls and five other televangelist ministries.

Randy White struggled to keep the church growing after he and Paula announced they were divorcing in 2007 and she left to focus on what was then a flourishing career as a televangelist, life coach and author. In July 2009, White stepped away from the church and welcomed back his ex-wife as its senior pastor, saying he needed a change after experiencing stress-related health problems.

Paula White became the face of Without Walls, and while Randy White retains the title of "bishop," it's unclear what, if any, role he plays in the church. The church's most recent annual report to the Florida Secretary of State's office, filed in April, lists him as the registered agent for Without Walls and as one of its directors.

White still owns the Bayshore Boulevard home he bought with his ex-wife, county property records show. But he is living in a penthouse suite at 345 Bayshore Blvd., according to his arrest report.

Paula White addressed her ex-husband's arrest at church Sunday morning:

"This ministry is a ministry of restoration. This ministry does not compromise the principles of God, but we are the perfect church for people who are not," she said, according to a transcript posted on the church's website.

"That doesn't mean I am an enabler. That doesn't mean I condone. That doesn't mean I agree with things. It means that I will help you walk through life. And I want you to walk with me through life. And I think that's what the church is all about."

Bishop T.D. Jakes Expands Ministry to Mile-High City

DALLAS /Christian News/ — Bishop T.D. Jakes, founder of the 30,000-member The Potter’s House Church of Dallas, is planting roots in Denver. Last Wednesday night at a celebration honoring retiring pastor Bishop Dennis Leonard, Jakes announced the renaming of Denver-based Heritage Christian Center to The Potter’s House Church of Denver.

Under the new leadership of the Rev. E. Christopher Hill, the 5,000-member Potter’s House Church of Denver will continue to serve the community with its long-standing feeding programs, homeless outreach, prison ministry and crisis counseling services.

Hill has served at the former Heritage Christian Center for seven months, coming to the church after several years traveling internationally as an evangelist and speaker. Prior to that, Hill worked for Jakes and The Potter’s House Church of Dallas as the church’s associate pastor and youth pastor, growing the youth program from a few students to more than 3,000 in less than three years.

“I witnessed the work ethic, integrity and faithfulness of Pastor Chris Hill as he tirelessly served the community of Dallas while with The Potter’s House. His excellence and exuberance as a pastor catapulted a generation in Dallas. I am not surprised to see the growth he has led in Denver in these few short months,” said Bishop Jakes.

The Potter’s House Church of Denver makes the third campus under the expanding Potter’s House name. Jakes launched a church campus in Fort Worth earlier this year. While the Fort Worth campus is a live simulcast of the Sunday morning service at the original Potter’s House campus in Dallas, the Denver campus will serve as an independent church led by Hill.

A globally recognized church of more than 30,000 members located in Dallas, The Potter’s House strives to be the voice and the hand that encourages people of all creeds and cultures to change their lives with hope, comfort and peace. The church is led by Bishop T. D. Jakes, twice featured on the cover of TIME magazine as “America’s Best Preacher” and as one of this nation’s “25 most influential evangelicals.” For more information visit www.thepottershouse.org or call 1.800.BISHOP.2.
